Our Story

Built by Teachers Who Have Spent Their Careers on Physics

Pravegaa Education Pvt. Ltd. was founded in November 2021 by Atul Gaurav and Dr. Alok Ji Shukla — two educators who had already spent more than a decade teaching physics to postgraduate and research aspirants.

Their experience showed them a simple truth: students who understand physics rank higher than students who memorise it. So Pravegaa was built around one subject and one standard — serious physics preparation. No engineering, no biology, no shortcuts.

Today our students study in live online batches, in our classroom at Jia Sarai near IIT Delhi, through recorded courses and correspondence material — and they go on to research positions at IITs, IISc, TIFR, IISERs and institutions abroad.

The Meaning of Our Name

“Vega” is Sanskrit for velocity. Pravegaa means great velocity — quality speed, driven by disciplined action.

Founder & Director · JNU Alumnus

Atul Gaurav founded Pravegaa Education in November 2021. He has taught physics to competitive-exam aspirants since 2008 and has mentored 5,000+ successful students — today research scholars at IITs, IISc, TIFR and IISERs, scientists at BARC, and faculty at colleges and universities. Students know him for an interactive, intuitive teaching style that makes difficult topics feel natural.

Dr. Alok Ji Shukla

Co-Founder & Director · IIT Delhi

Dr. Alok Ji Shukla brings research experience from IIT Delhi and EPFL, Switzerland, and has taught competitive-exam physics since 2009. He has also taught Electromagnetic Theory at Sri Venkateswara College, University of Delhi. His strength is building a topic from first principles to advanced level with clear, analytical explanations.
