Electronics and Solid State Physics
I am an experimental physicist, a founder and faculty in the Pravegaa Educational Institute Delhi.
I have completed my PhD from Indian Institute of Technology Madras, Chennai in the field of Alternative Energy and Nanotechnology under the supervision of Prof. S. Ramaprabhu & Prof. M.S.R Ramachandra Rao. I also did my M.Tech (Solid State Technology) from Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur.
My research interest involves synthesis and characterization of 2D nanomaterials, metal Oxides and conducting polymers; and their application in different research fields such as supercapacitors, gas sensor and photovoltaic cells.
I have more than ten years of teaching experience at undergraduate and postgraduate levels; and completed a research project sanctioned under TEQIP III collaborative research scheme of NPIU (AICTE), New Delhi. During my PhD I have also helped several B.tech, M.Tech and M.Sc students in completion of their research projects.
At Pravegaa Educational Institute, I teach Electronics and Solid State Physics to the students preparing for CSIR-NET, GATE, IIT-JAM, JEST and other post-graduate and PhD entrance examination of universities of India. I also help students preparing for competitive examination for recruitment of Assistant professor organized by various universities and academic bodies of state level governments.
My teaching methodologies involve collective engagement of students in problem-based activities, improved time utilization, and critical thinking skills. I motivate students to work as a team to solve a series of questions leading to development of a concept or principle. We at Pravegaa Educational Institute, also help students through video-based lectures, lectures with Power point presentation along with traditional chalk and board lecture system.
I believe in classroom climate that fosters thoughtful and respectful consideration of alternative viewpoints and ideas. We at Pravega promote a culture of shared responsibility and leadership by taking collective ownership of student learning, the structure of shared decision making. We monitored student academic growth by assignment evaluation, evidence from classroom and contributions to colleagues and institute communities. I, personally believe the role of connecting with the students, I always enjoy giving extra time for the cause and helping the students beyond classrooms.
